Disable Windows Installer Rollback (Windows 2000/XP)
This restriction stops Windows Installer from recording the original state of the system and sequence of changes it makes during installations. This restriction is designed to reduce the amount of temporary disk space required to install programs.
Open your registry and find or create the key below.
Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "DisableRollback" and set it according to the value data below.
Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: Once this setting is applied, Windows Installer cannot restore the computer to its original state if the installation does not complete.
